Call for Papers: Inaugural Issue of the Journal of Language Acquisition and Teacher Education (LATE)

We are very delighted to announce the launch of the Journal of Language Acquisition and Teacher Education (LATE), an international, peer-reviewed, and open-access journal, devoted to research on language learning and teacher education across educational levels and cultural contexts. We invite scholars, educators, and researchers to submit manuscripts for the inaugural issue of LATE. The journal aims to foster scholarly discussion on how languages are acquired and how teachers are prepared, supported, and developed to facilitate effective language learning.

LATE welcomes empirical studies and comprehensive reviews on topics such as:

  • Theories and models of first, second, or foreign language acquisition
  • Teacher knowledge, identity, and professional development
  • Teacher education standards and teacher leadership
  • Language curriculum and instructional design
  • Classroom practice and assessment in language education
  • The role of technology in language learning and teacher preparation
  • Cross-disciplinary and intercultural approaches to language teacher education

LATE is fully open access and does not charge any article processing fee. All accepted articles will be freely available online to readers worldwide. ISSN and DOI numbers will be assigned to all articles upon publication.

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the author guidelines of LATE and submitted through the online submission system available on the LATE website. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis, and all papers will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process. For inquiries or further information, please contact the editorial office.

We warmly welcome your contributions to this exciting new journal and look forward to building a global community of scholars dedicated to advancing research and practice in language acquisition and teacher education.
