Aims and Scope
The Journal of Multicultural Education and Student Affairs (MESA), published by Researcher Publishers, is an international, peer reviewed, and open access journal. MESA is dedicated to advancing knowledge and research in the areas of multicultural education, diversity, equity, inclusion, and student development. The Journal aims to promote scholarly discussions that address contemporary challenges, emerging practices, and future directions in how educational institutions support diverse student populations. It encourages contributions that explore multicultural curriculum and pedagogy, student engagement and wellbeing, inclusive leadership, campus climate, equity centered policy, advising and counseling practices, identity development, community and institutional partnerships, and related topics. Studies that adopt interdisciplinary, cross cultural, or cross contextual perspectives are particularly welcome. MESA accepts the following types of manuscripts:
Empirical Research Articles (around 7,500 words, including references and appendices): Reports of original studies using qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods that contribute new knowledge, practical insights, or theoretical advancements related to multicultural education or student affairs.
Critical Review Articles (around 6,000 words, excluding references and appendices): Systematic, bibliometric, or conceptual reviews that synthesize and critically evaluate existing scholarship to identify trends, challenges, and future directions in multicultural education and student affairs.
