Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools
Researcher Publishers is committed to maintaining the highest standards of research integrity, transparency, originality, and accountability in scholarly publishing. In view of the rapid development and increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI, large language models, chatbots, image generators, and other AI-assisted technologies, authors must follow the policy below when preparing and submitting manuscripts to journals published by Researcher Publishers.
AI tools must not be listed as authors or co-authors. Authorship requires human responsibility, accountability, intellectual contribution, and the ability to approve the final version of the manuscript. These responsibilities cannot be assigned to an AI tool or system. Researcher Publishers does not accept manuscripts in which the scholarly, scientific, analytical, interpretive, or argumentative content has been generated by AI. Authors must not use AI tools to generate research content, create or fabricate data, produce conclusions, replace scholarly judgment, or substitute for human critical thinking, expertise, analysis, or interpretation. Manuscripts found to contain undeclared, inappropriate, or substantially AI-generated content may be rejected, withdrawn from consideration, or subject to post-publication action in accordance with the publication ethics policies of Researcher Publishers.
Limited use of AI-assisted tools may be acceptable only when such tools are used to support language editing, grammar checking, formatting, translation assistance, reference formatting, or other non-substantive improvements to readability and presentation. In all cases, authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, validity, and ethical compliance of the submitted work. Authors must carefully review and verify any AI-assisted output before submission. If any AI tool or AI-assisted technology is used at any stage of manuscript preparation, authors must provide a clear declaration at submission. The declaration must state:
- the full name of the AI tool or service used,
- the version, provider, or developer of the tool, where available,
- the specific purpose for which the tool was used,
- the sections or parts of the manuscript affected by the tool,
- confirmation that the authors reviewed, edited, verified, and take full responsibility for the final content.
The declaration should be included in a separate section titled DECLARATION before the REFERENCES section, or in another location required by the journal. The recommended declaration format is:
DECLARATION
During the preparation of this manuscript, the author(s) used [name of AI tool/service, version if available] for [specific purpose, e.g., grammar checking, language editing, translation assistance, or formatting support]. The author(s) reviewed, edited, and verified all AI-assisted output and take full responsibility for the content, accuracy, originality, and integrity of the submitted manuscript.
If no AI tool has been used, authors do not need to include this DECLARATION section.
AI-generated or AI-manipulated images, figures, tables, data, citations, references, or research results are not accepted unless explicitly permitted by the journal and fully disclosed with an explanation of the tool used, the process followed, and the authors’ verification of accuracy and integrity. AI tools must not be used to create, alter, enhance, obscure, move, remove, or introduce features in images, figures, or data in a way that could misrepresent the research record.
Failure to disclose the use of AI tools, misrepresentation of AI-generated content as original human-authored work, or use of AI in a manner that compromises research integrity may be treated as a breach of publication ethics. Researcher Publishers reserves the right to request additional information, reject the manuscript, contact authors’ institutions, issue corrections or retractions, or take other appropriate editorial action.
