Overview
The Journal of Education for Sustainable Futures (ESUF) is an international, peer-reviewed publication under Researcher Publishers, a research-driven and open-access publishing platform dedicated to advancing global scholarship. This Journal promotes research, scholarship, and innovative practices that position education as a key driver of sustainable development.
Reflecting the mission of Researcher Publishers to improve the quality and reach of academic publications, ESUF serves as a forum for interdisciplinary dialogue on connecting education with broader social, economic, and environmental challenges, fostering dialogue and knowledge exchange that contribute to meaningful and lasting change in diverse educational contexts. It welcomes contributions on topics such as sustainability-oriented curriculum design, environmental and global citizenship education, inclusive and equitable learning systems, educational policy, and the integration of sustainability principles across disciplines
ESUF adopts the Continuous Publishing Model (CPM), shifting the traditional issue-based publishing system to a dynamic article-centric approach. This is to accelerate the dissemination of research reports, ensuring that valuable findings reach our global readership as swiftly as possible. CPM allows articles to be published individually in their final form as soon as they are ready, without waiting for other articles to compile a complete issue. Accepted articles are typically published online within 10-20 days of final acceptance.
To avoid errors and delays caused by producing multiple articles for the same issue simultaneously, each article of ESUF will start from page 1. The unique Article Reference Number assigned to the manuscript during submission will serve as the primary identifier within an issue, replacing the traditional function of page numbers. The recommended citation format will incorporate the Article ID, instead of the page numbers. While articles are published individually online, ESUF will continue to organize them into triannual issues for archival purposes in March, July, and November to maintain a traditional structure in bibliographic databases. This compilation does not affect the individual publication date or citation of each article.
Consistent with ideology of Researcher Publishers in collaboration and inclusivity, ESUF invites contributions from scholars, educators, developers, and policymakers worldwide. By providing open and equitable access to knowledge, ESUF aims to encourage creativity, ethical practice, and critical reflection on the role of technology in shaping the future of education.
